We respect copyright. If you believe content on Terpadi infringes your copyright, send a notice to our copyright agent. We handle notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512, and Indonesia's Copyright Law (Law No. 28 of 2014).

Our copyright agent

Sending a copyright notice

Your notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  3. Identification of the infringing material and where it is on Terpadi (a link), so we can find it.
  4. Your contact information: name, address, phone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.

When we receive a valid notice, we remove the material or disable access to it, and let the person who posted it know.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed because of a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to our agent above. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed (a link).
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and phone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for your address or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district where we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

We send a copy of your counter-notice, including your contact details, to the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyright.

False claims

If you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, you may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees (17 U.S.C. §512(f)).
